About Recruitment:-
Indian Oil Corporation Limited, one of the largest commercial undertaking in India and a Fortune “Global 500” Company,as a measure of Skill Building Initiative for the Nation, invites applications from candidates for engagement as Apprentices at its Refineries under Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 (as amended)in the Trade / Discipline mentioned below.
IOCL has Released the Online application form For the Post Of Technician & Trade Apprentice. The Total Number of Vacancies are 1574. The Online Application Form of IOCL starts from 25.10.2019 and the Closing date of online application is 15.11.2019.
Selection Process :-
Selection Process will be based On:-
- Written Examination
- Document Verification
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Exam Pattern: The Exam Pattern will be as Follows:
- The Exam will be Written Objective Type.
- The Written Exam will be of 100 Marks/ Questions.
- The Time Duration for the Exam will be 90 Minutes (1:30 Hours).
- Candidates can opt for the Question Paper/ Test either in English or Hindi language.
- The written test would carry a weightage of 85% and the weightage for interview will be 15%.
- There will be No Negative Marking.
Trade Apprentice Accountant
- Generic Aptitude including Quantitative Aptitude
- Reasoning Abilities
- Basic English Language Skills
Trade Apprentice (Fitter/ Electrician/ Electronic Mechanic/ Instrument Mechanic/ Machinist) & Technician Apprentice (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Civil/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics):
- Technical Acumen in relevant discipline
- Generic Aptitude including Quantitative Aptitude
- Reasoning Abilities
- Basic English Language Skills
Note : Candidate will have to secure a minimum 40% marks in Written Test for qualifying the selection process. The minimum qualifying marks shall be 35% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories against reserved positions.
Exam Syllabus: The Exam Syllabus is as Follows:
Concerned discipline of Diploma level : In This part, questions is asked related with trade as Mechanical, Electrical, Telecom & Instrumentation etc.
General Aptitude : It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series.
Reasoning : Focus on Comprehension, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions, arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements.
General English/Hindi : Grammar and vocabulary, Spotting error, Also, Comprehension, Passage making, Jumble word, Also, Sentence framing,Besides, Fill in the blanks, etc.
Quantitative Aptitude : Number System, Time and Distance, Also, Time and Work, Profit and Loss, Average, Also, Simple and Compound Interest, Mensuration (2D as well as 3D), Algebra, HCF as well as LCM, Simplification, Decimal Fractions, Also, Ratio and Proportions, Unitary Method, Besides, Percentage, etc.
